C4 LTTA mobility in Taverny, France 8.10-13.10.2023

From the 8th to the 13th of October 2023, another meeting of students and teachers took place according to the timeline of our LeMoon project. This time the venue was in France in the town of Taverny. Students from schools in the Czech Republic, Poland, and France met there, and partner organisations from Turkey and Iceland accompanied them. At the same time, students from the Institute for the Blind in Austria also had the opportunity to participate. Lycée Louis Jouvet de Taverny hosted the event.

On day 1, the school management welcomed us in the lecture hall where we were given a detailed briefing on the meeting programme for the whole week. After this opening, the students had the opportunity to visit French classes in various subjects such as chemistry, and biology, as well as French and psychology. During this teaching session, we held a short management meeting in which discussed the timeline of the next meetings, deadlines for upcoming assignments and some adjustments to the e-curriculum. In the afternoon, we started piloting/testing the lessons from Module 2 and France with the partners from Turkiye were the first to do so. In the evening we left by train to the centre of Paris, as Taverny town is located in the suburbs of this capital city.

On the 2nd day we continued with another workshop, which was in charge of partners from Poland, Austria, and Iceland. In this workshop, the lessons from module 2 were tested as well.
The afternoon program was a bit shorter, as only the lessons created by the Czech Republic were tested, and with the early ending, we again had the opportunity to go to Paris for a few hours to see some sights.

On the 3rd day of our stay, there was an event called The Hackathon, in which students in formed international teams were supposed to develop a proposal for a solution to one of the sustainable goals, create a short video and print on a 3d printer a 3d model they designed to represent their idea or solution. The Hackaton took place in the FABLAB Institute in Taverny.
You can watch the video here.
This hackathon lasted the whole day until the evening as the students had to take turns at the 3d printer and each print took around 2 hours, and during these 2 hours, they had time to make a video that would represent 1 of their chosen goals.

On the 4th day, we piloted the Poland Turkey and Czech Republic lessons of module 3 and in the afternoon Austria and Iceland took over. Students worked hard in international groups, trying out the individual tasks from the modules and thus we also had feedback on whether the individual tasks in the modules were applicable.

This day was also the last hard-working day of this mobility.
The final day was spent in the beautiful surroundings of Paris where we did some physical activities with the students. It was a nice change for everyone after 3 days of testing and a full-day hackathon.

We would like to thank our French hosts for a well-prepared program, impeccable atmosphere and perfect organization of the whole stay.
